Rain walked back into the hall and Lucy was thankful to see that he'd managed to find something to put on. He was still mostly naked, though he now had loose, brown trousers that covered his bottom half. They were stained with blood and dirt, but then so was the rest of his body so it made little difference to the wolf's appearance.
Frost was still watching Lucy with curiosity – though the young woman didn't move. She was waiting to be attacked, or at least be hurt in some way or another by these two men, but so far neither of them had raised a finger against her.
"So how about this guided tour then?" Rain asked, stretching his arms above his head so that his muscles bunched and moved beneath his skin. Lucy eyes flickered over him – seeing that even in human form that the wolf would be a dangerous fighter. She could only guess what weapons the wolf was trained in as she'd heard the Alpha Male was a viscous opponent in both wolf and human form.
"Well – I'm still not sure if our fair Lucy has yet regained herself," Frost commented, looking concerned though there was mocking in his cool, blue eyes. "Seeing so much death and a naked wolf in one day is a very disturbing ordeal."
Rain smirked at the insult, stopping next to Frost so that they both gazed at her, "I really think she's freaked out by your ugly face, if I'm honest." He reached up to ruffle Frost's hair – but the vampire moved in a blink. Lucy gasped as she saw that Rain was suddenly pinned to the floor with his right arm twisted awkwardly behind his back.
Frost smirked down as he kept the wolf there, his knee resting heavily between his shoulder blades whilst his hands manipulated his arm, "your hands stink of shit – keep them away from my face." He hissed, baring fang – though the show terrified Lucy – the powerful beings were only testing and joking with one another. If it had been a serious fight, there would have been a lot more power...and blood.
"Alright fang-boy," Rain muttered from the ground and Frost let him go. The wolf jumped nimbly to his feet with a single push up and then rolled his shoulders before grinning, a quick flash of teeth, "Show off."
"Bite me," Frost smirked in return before focusing back on the human woman before them. His cool, blue eyes flickered over her for a moment before he allowed a smile to cross his lips, "come, Lucy." He offered her his hand, placing it before him. "You owe us a tour of the place for not killing you at least."
Lucy was still trembling with fear and adrenaline, unable to control herself, and when the vampire offered her a hand she looked at it as though it was a viscous dog about to bite her. She shrank away from them both, "so you're telling me if I don't give you a tour of the house, you'll kill me?"
Frost seemed to consider this for a moment, "seems a little extreme, even for us." His eyes flickered to Rain, who gave him a small smile. Frost smirked and then looked back to Lucy, "how about we go with yes and we save a lot of time." He moved his fingers in a 'come hither' motion and Lucy shivered.
She really had little choice.
Rain watched as she reached forwards and took Frost's hand and chuckled as he smelt the fear radiating from her. She was truly terrified, and yet she still managed to have an edge of defiance in her eyes. She had no idea what the future held for her and she'd just seen them rip a Lord's guard to bloody shreds – really only suggesting one fate for her.
And she still wasn't crying.
This could prove to be interesting, Rain thought as he watched Frost pull Lucy closer to him, his blue gaze almost riveted on her. Frost is either playing a cruel game with her, or a human woman has finally caught his attention. She's certainly caught mine.
Frost smiled at Lucy and then began to lead her away, towards one of the doors that led out of the main hall. Rain followed, his hands resting gently in his pockets and a smirk on his lips as his eyes trailed across Lucy from behind.
He better not kill her, he thought as they entered one of the many corridors of the manor.
Lucy walked by Frost's side, her hand tingling softly where he held it within his own. His skin was cool to touch, like all vampires, but his magic seemed to be different. She'd grown so used to the power that flowed across skin from touching a vampire now that she barely noticed the difference, but Frost's power...there was something more...raw about it.
"So – where are the slave quarters?" Frost asked Lucy as they walked along, his eyes scanning the hallways with an interested expression. His free hand reached out and stroked across the drapes at the windows, caressing the material as they walked along.
Lucy went to answer his question but then tensed as she heard a few screams from up ahead. Her eyes widened at the sounds – hearing more death as bone was crunched and bodies were slammed against furniture.
"Ah – there they are," Frost replied, as though Lucy had answered although the screams had. He looked to Rain and cocked an eyebrow at him, "can you please tell your wolves not to kill everyone? At least save some for later."
Rain moved past Frost and Lucy, a small smirk and swagger to his hips as he moved, "I'll tell them to behave." He growled before beginning to run down the corridor, his muscles bunching as he went. A deafening howl echoed through the corridor and Lucy yelped, tensing against the sound, though Frost's expression only became mildly annoyed, "I hate it when he does that."
"Frost?" A voice called from behind them and the vampire turned to look. Lawrence was walking towards them and Lucy frowned – she'd assumed he'd been killed as he was Lord Deacon's second in command – but he approached Frost without fear.
"Ah – Lawrence," Frost gave the other vampire a slow smile. "Nice to see you survived Rain's theatrics."
"I stayed out of the way – as you ordered."
"Yes well, he does get overexcited sometimes," Frost still didn't release Lucy's hand, who was watching the other vampire with a cold hatred in her gaze. Although Lawrence had never touched her or hurt her in any way – he was still the vampire that had murdered her father and taken her from Solace. If anything, she despised him more than Lord Deacon.
"I see you've found Lucy," Lawrence commented as he regarded the beautiful human. He didn't smile, he rarely did unless he was watching someone else in pain, "she was certainly Lord Deacon's favourite."
"Hrmm," Frost nodded in agreement, though noted the hatred in her gaze for the other vampire. "She doesn't seem to much like you though," he looked to Lawrence, cocking an eyebrow. "I'm guessing you two have an unpleasant past?" He asked the less powerful vampire, though was surprised when Lucy answered for him.
"He murdered my father," she growled and Frost glanced at her when he felt her hand tighten around his as fury tensed her muscles. "He brought me here, to this Hell. You could say we have an unpleasant past."
Lawrence focused his eyes upon the human, and seeing her fury and hatred, he allowed himself to smile, amused at her pain, "I've always wondered if you tasted as good as your father."
Lucy snarled, only Frost grabbing her shoulders held her back and he calmly pulled her against his chest, restraining her from attacking the other vampire, though he let her continue, "you're a murderer! And a coward! You betrayed your master!" She shouted – although she served no loyalty to the Lord who'd raped her, she saw Lawrence's obvious betrayal to Frost as a huge sin.
"Calm down Lucy, my dear," Frost purred gently against her ear and she found his voice wrapping around her and trickling across her skin. She shuddered at the magic within his voice, calming and soothing her instantly. "Shouting at the bastard is only going to amuse him."
"Apart from a very mangled looking maid – I managed to save all of the staff," Rain announced as he arrived back at the group, and if possible, he was covered in more blood. His amber eyes focused on Lawrence and he grinned, "ah – it's our mole...what's his name again?"
"It's Lawrence, wolf," the vampire hissed in warning, his eyes flashing.
Rain raised an eyebrow at Frost – although the vampire respected the wolves – none of the others in the Shadowlands did, Lawrence included. Frost concentrated on calming Lucy, though his eyes flashed to Rain and he gave a light smirk, as though giving him permission.
The wolf smile oh so slowly at the other vampire to show that his teeth were slowly elongating into fangs, "It's nice to meet you Lawrence...I like to know the name of my prey before I feed on it." He growled.
Lucy's eyes widened but she found it impossible to panic or feel fear as Frost's hands stroked her sides and his soothing words echoed through her mind. She watched as Lawrence begged for his life, saying that he'd worked for them. Rain laughed maniacally, "no traitors on this side – friend."
She barely flinched as the wolf transformed and leapt at the vampire. She didn't shudder as his teeth sank into the vampire's flesh and the blood curdling scream echoed through the corridors. And she barely moved as she listened to the wolf consume the flesh of the vampire she'd once despised. No, all she could focus on was Frost and his calming touch and words. She couldn't think of anything else as they rolled through her, forcing her to be calm in his arms...and her expression only changed to frown when he murmured.
"He could at least have taken off his pants."
*grins*

Oh dear there's something wrong with my mind I swear, but I adore these two together XD Because they fall under so many categories that I love; idiots, bad ass and hot as Hell XD

Oh my dear Lucy, how um INTERESTING it's going to be for you.
